This series will get to know some of the female idols or actresses who are girl crush material. A ‘girl crush’ is defined as a woman or girl who is the object of one’s admiration. In other words, one of the female K-Pop idols or Korean actresses that fans wish was their best friend or girlfriend. Back to this week’s feature! Let’s get to know our girl crush, Choi YeNa! Choi YeNa is famous as a smiley soloist with outstanding stage presence. You might also recognize her from her days as an IZ*ONE member and on “Produce 48”. Choi YeNa is an all-rounder of note. Let’s get to know why in this article. Firstly, Choi YeNa is one of the strongest vocalists among female 4th generation idols. Her technical ability (breath control, pitch, etc.) is undeniably solid and her vocal color is just as pretty as she is. She has a huskiness to her voice when she speaks but her voice whilst singing has quite the refreshing quality. Choi YeNa didn’t earn her title as an all-rounder for no reason. This just goes to show her wide range as an artist. When it comes to dancing, Choi YeNa is the dancing queen. She can pull off all styles from elegant and graceful to powerful girl crush. Her facial expressions especially bring the choreography to life. Her dancing is charismatic, to say the least. With her stunning dance lines and effortless ability to transition emotions through dance moves, she will have you enamored with her stage presence. On top of all of that, she is also talented at the behind-the-scenes of music-making including composing and writing. Additionally, she is also a variety-dol. She has it all. Wit. Humor. Cuteness. Bright energy. She is the full package when it comes to entertainment. ‘Happy/Smiley Duck YeNa’. ‘Happy Virus YeNa’. These are only a couple of the nicknames associated with Choi YeNa because of her vitamin-like personality. She is known for her infectious energy and radiating positivity. Her personality shines in everything she does, including her music. Her songs often showcase her character with her personal touch. We also need to appreciate her unique and stylish fashion sense. Choi YeNa doesn’t simply set the trend. She is the trend. Honestly, there’s not enough space on the internet to talk about how talented and special Choi YeNa is, but we hope this was a good start for those who are just getting to know her.
