To celebrate the popularity of the webtoon, an official event was organized in a cafe in Hongdae, Seoul. The event is almost one month long, from Nov. 4, to Nov. 27. There, you can eat and drink coffee, while enjoying an exhibit and buying some items. For example, you can buy a mousepad, tarot card, standee, postcards, keyring, computer mat, perfume, and even jewels.

However, if you wish to have a seat and try one of the special drinks offered by the cafe, you should be lucky as it is still based on reservation. The drinks include cinnamon shakerato, cherry ade, vanilla milk tea, and chestnut latte. You can also eat cakes; chocolate, red velvet, earl grey, or even have a cookie. Moreover, for the lucky ones, you can try a “traditional” meal for the webtoon, in very limited quantity. It includes two pieces of bread, an omelet, a mushroom cream soup, strawberry jam, and some butter. We weren’t lucky enough to have the special meal, so we tried the chestnut latte! The big plus of this event? You can receive as a gift random photocards! 12 to collect to be more precise and to receive them you have many options: buying items in the shop, ordering a drink or a menu, sharing the event on social media, following the cafe on Twitter, and wearing a particular color. The day we went was red! In addition, for each 10.000₩ spent, you’ll receive a random postcard among 16 to collect. Finally, you receive also a random coaster if you order a drink. There are 8 of them! The cafe is divided into two equal parts: one for the shop, and one for the photo exhibit where you can enjoy your drink and your food. Regarding the shop, you can actually find items from others webtoons, manga, and anime, but only a small part was devoted to “Under The Oak Tree”. However, the exhibit displays a lot of different pictures so it is worth the visit. Concerning the different items on sale, you can actually preorder them on the internet. However, some are sold out and can only be purchased in the cafe.
