There are plenty of interesting dramas starting this month including the new seasons of “Penthouse: War in Life”, “Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce)”, “Voice”, and “Hospital Playlist”. All these dramas seem interesting but we’ve narrowed down the list to the drama we think will interest you. Here are 4 dramas starting in June to not forget to watch.
1. “At A Distance, Spring Is Green”
When: June 14 on KBS, Viki, and iQiyi Cast: Park JiHoon, Kang MinAh, Bae InHyuk, CLC’s Kwon EunBin, Choi JungWoo, Woo DaBi, Na InWoo (special appearance) Genre: Youth Summary: It tells the real struggles of people in their 20s and the issues of university students. At a distance, their youth seems beautiful but if you look at it closely it is harsh. Why look forward to it?: “At A Distance, Spring Is Green” is based on the webtoon of the same tile by JiNyung. This campus story will focus on the “real” story and struggles of young university students, which seems interesting for those who are interested in campus stories. From the first teasers, we can grab the bright and sad sides of the characters’ lives. The story promises to be touching. One of the key reasons to watch is also the cast composed of rising actors. Park JiHoon already proved he is talented in acting with “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” and “Love Revolution”. We are looking forward to Kang MinAh’s acting after she gained the spotlight with “A-Teen 2” and “True Beauty". Bae InHyuk is also an actor to have a close eye on. 2. “Nevertheless”
When: June 19 on JTBC and Netflix Cast: Song Kang, Han SoHee, Chae JongHyeop Genre: Romance Summary: It tells the romance of NaBi who doesn’t trust love but who wants to date and of JaeEon who is tired of dating but who wants to flirt. Why look forward to it?: From the first teasers, we can tell that this drama will be pretty new. It is not a “typical” pure romance drama because the lead male character is a true playboy and the female lead knows that he has no intention to date her seriously but is still under his charms. In other dramas, some male leads are dating many girls, but this time, we can tell it is different from the teaser. The story seems more realistic about dating and it promises to surprise viewers with a different angle on romance. It is a “hyper-real romance” as read on the poster. Of course, we are looking forward to the lead couple’s chemistry and visuals. Song Kang & Han SoHee’s love story seems already captivating and full of heart-fluttering scenes. Song Kang suits this role perfectly as the man who drives girls crazy with his charms. The story behind the butterfly tattoo is also something to look forward to. Note that the drama will only air once a week and has only 10 episodes. For more information, teaser, and characters’ descriptions, you can check our cast and summary here. (Netflix) Why look forward to it?: The main reason to watch this drama is that it is a multi-cultural drama! It is new for a Korean drama to have diversity so it is a must-watch.
